#Review: The Power of Mind Engineering by Cyril George

The Power of Mind Engineering
Author: Cyril C. George
Publisher: Rupa Publications
Rating: 4/5

I hadn’t given enough thought to the concept of Mind Engineering before reading this book. What was in store for me was the realization that mind engineering is essential at so many different levels owing to the complexity of this organ and the tedious job it does. In his book ‘The Power of Mind Engineering’, Cyril George explains the need to understand how negative emotions forbid our happy–go-lucky mind from enjoying what’s supposed to be enjoyed. Hence, it needs to be engineered right in order to absorb the good emotions and eliminate the negatives.

The Power of Mind Engineering is a self-help book that aims to educate, guide and propel people towards a happier living. Conditioning the mind in ways that are lesser known yet effective in holistic development of an individual is essential. Hence, this book promises to deliver that. It succeeds, for it advocates the importance of awareness of the subconscious and in some way, the need to have an optimistic outlook.

All in all, mind engineering isn’t a walk in the park. It’s difficult and needs practice. Just by reading one won’t become as happy as Larry. What needs to be done is implementation, adherence and practice. Therefore, this is a good book that educates you about the whats and hows.

Best wishes to the author!
