Unfetter
Author: Tanuja Sodhi

Rating: 4/5

Unfetter, synonymous with unleash, is a self-help book that discusses ways and means to a healthier and happier life. Women are known to have a lifelong companion- stress. Thus, it is imperative to understand the cues of the body when it shrieks in pain or annoyance. Divided into two major sections, this book entails information about how the body functions and how internal (hormones) as well as external (relationships and society) play an important role in determining the overall wellness of women.

Often lack of sleep and alienation from people that make you feel good can scupper the chances of having and living with the peace of mind. These external factors cause a drastic change in our hormones, which, in turn, hamper the release of endorphins, oxytocin and dopamine. The author brings out the essence of listening to your body in the first section. In the second section of the book, she draws our attention to the importance of being purpose-driven, having healthier relationships and thriving in a conducive environment. Unfetter, for the most part, is novel as the author uses anecdotal evidence to prove her point. For the remainder, it comprises redundant information that most self-help books offer these days. Hence, you can opt for this book for its simplicity, genuity and the connection it establishes with the readers.

Best wishes to the author!
