#Review: Who the F**ck Are You? by Harinder Pelia

Who the F**ck Are You?
Author: Harinder Singh Pelia
Publisher: Penguin Random House
Rating: 3/5

This one sits on the opposite end of the emotional spectrum — sharp, conversational, and motivational in the most “real-world” sense. The book promises a five-step transformation for those who feel overlooked or invisible, and it largely delivers. It’s part pep talk, part playbook — the kind of thing you read when you’re stuck in analysis paralysis and need someone to shake you out of it.

The tone is unapologetically direct — equal parts “coach energy” and “friendly slap on the back.” You can see Warikoo’s influence in the no-fluff practicality. Still, there are moments when the tough-love vibe feels rehearsed, as if it’s trying a bit too hard to be the “kick in the ass” it advertises.

But credit where it’s due: the book gets you thinking about your own agency and excuses. It’s not literary brilliance — it’s self-help that knows its purpose.

Verdict: Honest, structured, and motivating without being preachy. Perfect for when you’re spiralling in self-doubt and need momentum, not motivation memes.
