Book Review: Tangled Love Untangled Emotions by Ankush Kapoor

Tangled Love Untangled Emotions

Rating: 2/5

“Because sometimes even if you know how something’s gonna end that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the ride.”
~Ted Mosby (How I Met Your Mother)

Based on the above quote by our dearest Ted Mosby, Tangled Love Untangled Emotions is a rollercoaster ride of love and hope. Just how several protagonists in web series and movies believe that the ‘right one’ for them is waiting in some corner of the world, the character of this book, Akash Vardhan, keeps his hopes high when his heart tells him to be patient in the matters of love. The story pans around Akash’s encounter with three girls who leave an indelible impact on his life.

Sadly, these love stories have something amiss and every time Akash decides to give love a chance, his heart tells him otherwise. Soon Akash realizes that ‘love is happiness’ and letting go and moving on are part and parcel of life. Coming to grips with the truth is probably the best thing that happens to our confused protagonist. Coming to the book, the narrative is drab and the bountiful grammatical errors can put off the readers for sure. The idea is not new but I appreciate the author’s take on love and life. The dialogues and descriptions could have been shortened easily. Unfortunately, the execution of the plot did not quite match up with the subtle yet alluring cover.

Overall, I didn’t enjoy the book owing to the editing errors and the redundant storyline.

Best wishes to the author!
