‘The beginning is the most important part of the work.’
Plato

We are a product of what we repeatedly do and hence, it is imperative to develop habits that help our goals come to fruition. In his book ‘30 Days: Change Your Habits, Change Your Life’, Marc Reklau, a life coach, guides the readers through a set of steps that can enable any person lead a successful and satisfying life. He elucidates on how important it is for all of us to channelize our energy towards ourselves and then realizing our self-worth.

Divided into several chapters, this book is a breezy read because most of the points mentioned would already be known to the readers. I specifically liked the concept of ‘Edison Mentality’ and ‘Energy Robbers’. The central idea of this book is to encourage the readers to change their perspective because it is our attitude that determines our approach towards the problems. The author also stresses that being mindful of our choices and decisions helps us plan better for a yielding future. Some of the common habit changes that he mentions are getting organized, efficient time management, identifying and utilizing the strengths, elimination of the negative things, people and emotions, exercising and developing patience and persistence.

‘30 Days: Change Your Habits, Change Your Life’ is a self-help book that is a perfect read for the lockdown period. It will only inspire you to use this quarantine time productively. With easy language and practical solutions, the author makes sure that he quotes enough real-life examples to make the content relatable.

Best wishes to the author!
