#Review: Chitti’s Travelling Book Box by Kavitha P.

Chitti’s Travelling Book Box
Author: Kavitha Punniyamurthi
Publisher: Penguinsters

This is one of the books from the ‘Hole Books’ series. As lovely as the concept of this series sounds, it’s even more interesting to read these short stories to your kids. Chitti’s Travelling Book Box showcases a young girl’s desire to read books. When faced with the choice of reading limited printed books or giving up this hobby altogether, her mind is lit up and she cracks open the treasury of knowledge by coming up with the idea of a ‘moving library’. As moving as this sounds or seems, the tractor that Bala Anna offers to drive practically changes the face of the reading community that Chitti once envisioned. Narrated using simple vocabulary, Chitti and her tribe of equally talented and zestful readers occupy a soft corner in your heart without doing or saying much. Their sheer dedication and spontaneity are likeable. Hence, this short story is worth your time.

I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.
